Screenwriter's Read Through

Thursday Jan. 6. 2011 (for 8 weeks)

7:30pm until 9pm

$175

The best way to see how scripts are working is to have scenes read out loud.

Step 1

In a round table fashion we will go through scenes, works in progress, a short script, etc., and tweak and polish.

Step 2

From notes and by splitting into small groups we will sharpen scenes and choose a scene to pair with actors.

Step 3

We will cast actors from a pool of available talent and give the talent the pages to study for the read through. (This is a read through only and actors will not memorize lines.)

Step 4

Actors will read the lines on the Darling Series Studio's mini-stage.

Step 4

We will hold a read-through and invite some friends (invite only). The studio is small so our audience will be small, but powerful.

Step 5

We will congratulate ourselves on how clever and awesome we are as writers.

Go writers, go writers, go writers...

Please note: *As a working casting director films may come into town that require my services. If this is the case during this session we might need to reschedule some weekly classes, or bring in a guest director.

*To register for this class send an e-mail to jadeph@gmail.com and in the subject line put, "Screenwriter's class" and we will get back to you with details.
